Arsenal All Set to Face Borussia Dortmund
When Arsenal Faces Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates Stadium, what one could expect to see between both teams is a good deal of empathy. While Arsenal players have suffered considerable injuries for the entire length of this football season, their German counterparts too have undergone a lot of stress in this regard. In fact, Dortmund players have suffered injuries more massive than those who play for Arsenal. The only difference between the two teams in the tournament can be seen in terms of performance. Arsenal needs another point in order to compete in the last 16 while Dortmund has to merely secure a draw in order to get to the top position in Group D.
Arsenal has managed to pick up for after suffering from a staggering 2-1 loss at the hands of Manchester United. The team managed to secure only three wins among the first twelve matches that were played by them in the Premier League. Many of Arsenal’s top league players have been away from the field for the most games. Laurent Koscielny, is however expected to make his return in the next game. According to Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, “He’s in the squad for tomorrow,” he said at his press conference on Tuesday. “It’s very good newsbecause he was out for a while now and defensively we are short in numbers. It’s good to have his quality back.” According to Wenger it is solidarity among the players that can possible result in an improvement in form.
